Saving the world, one baby butt at a time!

My poor little teething baby still was able to smile for pictures in his new diapers. He is getting his two front teeth as we speak and is a drooly mess, but still in good spirits.

In case anyone is wondering, I tried to take a picture of Drew, but his new thing is to run away from me, and not let me take a picture. So this is what I got, and yes that is jelly all over his mouth. Best Mom Ever!

Brotherly Love

I went to go get Jacob from his crib, as I could hear him stirring. Drew came with and we were both greeted by Jacob's big "hello morning!" grin and Drew reached in the slats of his crib to hold his hand. I kid you not, Drew smiled at him and said "I will love you forever, Jacob".

Needless to say, I got a little misty eyed, and Drew got two cereal bars that morning instead of one.

As I was putting Drew in the car the other day, he looked at me and said "I love my baby".

"Who is your baby?" I asked.

He pointed and Jacob, and said "he is my baby brother. I love him."

'Nuff said.

Sick Day-- Bubbles!

I am at home with my poor little booger, Jacob. He has a stomach bug (which means I will have it in two days-yay). So in honor of my booger, I show you a clip of him experiencing bubbles on Sunday. It's quite exciting (well, not really, but I am too tired to be witty).

Ooooh family, all gather 'round the bubble grill.

What are these mysterious things?

Big-ass bubble!

I see it Mom! I'm gonna catch it!

And here is where Mom misses the big moment!

You blew it, Mom!

Updates

Jacob is getting so close to crawling. He wants so desperately to keep up with his older brother, it cracks me up. He is obsessed with Drew, although he is saying something that sounds an awful lot like the beginnings of "Mama" (!). He has two teeth, and is so cute. Many people say that 5 months and 6 months are their favorite age, and I didn't feel that way with Drew, because he got 6 new teeth from 4 to 6 months and cried constantly (wouldn't you?). But Jacob is a little doll. I swear, if I had no common sense and we weren't broke as a joke, we would be trying for another one.

And Drew! We have had issues in the not-too-distant past, but he is really being a sweetie lately. He is also starting to listen to adult conversations too... this is good, and bad. I really have to watch all the things I say now. Also, he is.... wait for it again.... completely potty trained.
*Knocks on wood*
He even gets up at night to go potty and is accident free at night. Honestly, don't ask me how we did it, all the accolades go to Drew, if we weren't in the way, he probably would've been potty trained at 1 1/2 when he started to use the potty in the first place!

So in short, the fog is lifting off my winter depression stupor, and we are all doing well.
