Who's excited about Christmas?

He is! He just doesn't know it yet! Merry Christmas Eve! Or if you prefer, Happy Holidays!

The Bee family is busy trekking through the slush with trusty Bessie and will be back in touch,

oh sometime after Christmas... although I will have quick updates...

And in case you were wondering... This one can hardly wait until Christmas!

How to let go.

Okay, so maybe it's not me, but my son. His favorite nighttime activity is to cuddle with me and watch Curious George. "Mommy, I saved you a spot!" he always says gleefully. While the dishes need to be done, and laundry folded, I bypass them to sit and watch Curious George with him. I give him kisses on his head as he cuddles in my arms. I know I will have to work extra hard and maybe get less time to myself, but I think it's worth it. He's almost four, and he's growing up so fast. Pretty soon he will be in Kindgergarten, and the Elementary School. Then I will miss these days and wonder why I was in such a hurry to clean up dishes when I could've spent that time cherishing his little boy cheeks and the tuft of his light blond hair that sticks up in the back. Because soon enough he will have brown hair, thick "big boy" hair that lays flat, and his chubby cheeks will be replaced by a slim face. Soon enough it won't be "cool" to hang out with Mom and he will not want cuddles and kisses. Soon enough he won't be my baby anymore and he will be too big to curl up in my arms, and yet....

There will always be laundry and dishes.

So I take this time. I store it in the back of my mind, savoring my little boy and how we had this special time that he wanted to spend with only me.

Even if it means I have seen every episode of Curious George. Hey, it's better than Bob the Builder.

Family Pics!

Finally, professional pictures of the whole family.

My kids were not in the picture taking mood, so big thanks goes to Kristy! We were so happy with these (especially Shaun, who hates getting his pic taken, and thinks they are unneccessary).

Our Vacation!

This week our family went on our first Vacay alone as a family- to Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI. It was a blast, but tiring! (At least for Mommy and Daddy.) I thought I would do a little Photo blog. I will say this- Drew had a smile on his face the whole time, I kid you not. It was worth it for that fact alone.

Rebel rouser Drew- he's so tough!

Watching the singing animals- they were talked about the rest of the two days.

Singing, costumed animatronic animals- scary for Mom and Dad, enjoyed by Drew and Jacob.
The wolf gives a hestitant Drew a hug.
Jacob gives a High Five for Wolfie-man.
Drew loved the elevator.
Drew won this by howling like a wolf.
Lazy river- Dad's Favorite.
Jacob self portrait-don't know how he split his lip!
Jacob enjoyed the water, despite his expression.
Safety First!
Look at that smile!
He couldn't stop grinning!
We liked this- from a distance.
Drew loved playing with this contraption.
No he didn't REALLY go down this slide, we were just faking!
Kid favorite, the spouts.
Drew and Daddy climbed this to go down the tube slide.
Mommy missed the big picture due to Jacob wanting the camera as well. Best family pic ever! Only reason I would ever put a pic of me in a bathing suit up!
I WANT YOUR CAMERA NOW!
Second time, Mommy got the shot.
Pure Bliss!
This is what Jacob did....
While Drew slept.
Trick or treating- Drew got this cool crayon! Look how proud he is!
On the ride home, they both fall asleep. And Mommy and Daddy get one hour of relaxation during the vacation.

Jacob's Birthday Party

Thank you to all who came to Jacob's birthday party. It was a blast, and we appreciate all the wonderful gifts Jacob recieved. Thank you for celebrating this special milestone with us.

Jacob and his Daddy.

Drew and Allie saying "Cheese"! Over and over again....
Let me out too! It's my birthday! (Don't worry, we did).
The Cupcake Cake was a big hit even with the adults. I love Kroger Cake Frosting.
The Big Moment!
Drew helps out. What a good big brother.
I think he enjoyed destroying the cake more than eating it!
Literally the center of attention!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

I can't believe it has been a year already! What a crazy ride this has been, however I wouldn't change a minute of it. Jacob is a sweet, wonderful, wild little baby and I am so lucky that every time I see him even when he wakes at 5am, I am happy and excited to see his smiling face. He is a ray of sunshine. So please watch, comment (we will be saving them so Birthday well wishes are appreciated) and enjoy.

We love you Jacob!

Here comes the sun

This morning when Drew woke up, he was very pleasant and not in his usual morning funk. He was very sweet, even asking if it was okay that he got up when he walked out of his room (it was still dark out). As he was sitting on the (in his words-"very comfy") recliner, he told me that the sun was going to come out today. I asked him how he knew, and he very plainly stated "the sun told me that if I was a good boy today he would come out".

For the first time in about a week, the sun is out today. And you can thank Drew for it.

Welcome

So I started an offshoot of my normal Blog, Janana Bee, so that I could write solely about the kids, to keep all the family up to date. Some blogs I have included from my old blog, ones that were about our two little boys Drew and Jake, with little tweaks. So I hope you enjoy my obnoxious bragging about the two most perfect children on the planet. (Okay, I may be a little biased here...)

The Great Escape

Into the mind of the escape artist....

he's making a break for it!

Out of the tunnel and...

Foiled by the gate again.

Escape fail.
